I've missed you!!

Hiiii ladies!  Just a quick post to let you know I'm not dead.  I've been busy with work and family.  The new girl at work recently quit with no notice, of course at the busiest time of year, so I've been there almost every day.  My man got two weeks off for holidays so I've been spending as much time with him as possible.  And since it's the holidays, old friends are home from college and I've made plans with them.  Buuuut, anyway...

I have many posts planned out for you as soon as I get more time.  I have pictures of crafts and nail art I've done, updates on my life, and of course more things that I've bought.  But right now it's the middle of the night so I'm off to bed.

New furniture!

This holiday season my man and I were lucky enough to get a new kitchen table and a new couch.  Well, new to us anyway.  My man's friend bought a new couch and gave us his old one.  And my parents bought a new table so we bought their old one from them.
Ta da!

What I bought. Christmas shopping edition.

I told myself that I would NOT buy anything for myself while I was shopping for Christmas presents.  I think I did pretty well, I only bought three things for myself.

These cute earrings were on sale, so I couldn't leave them behind now could I?
I actually did need a tea strainer thing for my blooming tea, but this one isn't big enough, poo!
I also bought a jacket, but I live in Canada where it is -10000 degrees so it's not a cute one.  It's a big ugly puff ball that I'd rather you didn't see.

Christmas Presents!!

I got a lovely, big haul this year for Christmas.  I wanted to show you what I bought for everyone as well, but I forgot to take pictures before I wrapped them, oh well.  I guess I'll just shhhhhhhsh up and show you the pictures.

Betsey Johnson day-of-the-week socks and Betsey Johnson makeup bag from my parents.

See that Hello Kitty in the corner?  My man got me Hello Kitty floor mats for my car!  I didn't get a picture because I ran out and put them in my car right away, haha.

Not pictured- I also got a gift card to Tim Hortons (a coffee place for all of you who aren't Canadian) from a customer at work.  Another customer also got me a book on pretty much every movie ever made. (It's huuuge!)  Money and hair elastics.  Probably some other things that I'm forgetting too.

What was the best thing you gave/ received this year?

Gingerbread Houses.

On the 23rd my man, my mum, my sister and I made a gingerbread house.  Lovely good family bonding time (minus my stepdad and brother) Here it is:

Then off I went to work.  While I was hard at work renting movies to people, some friends went to my house and the two of them and my man made another gingerbread house.  This is theirs:

I don't know if I want my ginger-people living next to such a rowdy party house...

Movie Review- Kiki's Delivery Service.

This is the fourth Studio Ghilbi film I bought.  I really enjoyed it, so much so I almost dressed up like Kiki for Halloween this year.  On to the overview:
According to tradition, when a witch turns 13 she must move to a new town with next to nothing and try to make it on her own.  Kiki is armed with a broom, her new black dress and her cat Jiji when she finds her new home.  Follow her journey to becoming successful as a witch and a delivery girl and making friends in a new place.

Review 10/10.
This movie is both cute and interesting.  It's a lovely coming-of-age story with cute cats.  Haha.

What did you think of Kiki's Delivery Service?

Get to know R.

My name: Roslynn.

Age: 21.

Hometown: Creston, British Columbia, Canada.

Family:  I live with my man and our two cats Domino and Miss.  My family lives about 3 minutes away from us.  They consist of my mum and my stepdad.  My 14 year old sister and 19 year old brother.  My brother's girlfriend is usually there too and she is pregnant.  Yes, I am going to be an auntie in a while!!  My family has many pets: a dog Molly, three cats- Zelda, Bacardi and Goober, some goldfish and a frog.

These pictures are both pretty old, but they show everyone.  (except my brother's woman, but I have no pictures of her.)  That is the last picture of my man and I and the kitties and it's over a year old.  Horrible.  haha.

I think this is enough for now, I don't want you to get bored of me.  (:

Movie Review- My Neighbor Totoro.

I had wanted to see this movie for a long time before I finally got a chance to see it.  I must say honestly that I was a bit disappointed.  It wasn't as amazing as I'd heard it was.  Don't get me wrong, I like it a lot, it's very cute.  I just found it kind of boring.  If it means anything, I did buy it after seeing it a few times.  Anyways, here we go:

After moving to a new home a young girl names Mei sees a small creature collecting acorns.  Mei follows the small creature who leads her to her new neighbor, a forest spirit named Totoro.  When Mei wanders off to visit their mother in the hospital her older sister Satsuki enlists the help of Totoro and his mysterious friends to help her find Mei.

My review: 8/10.
The story is a bit slow but it's such a cute movie that I didn't mind.  My favorite parts of the movie are when each girl meets Totoro for the first time.  I recommend watching this if you like cute movies, but not if you want to watch something deep.

If you've seen this movie, what did you think?

What I bought.

Two cupcake Christmas tree ornaments from Wal Mart.

Oh, by the way, what do you think of my new background and header?  I made them myself if you can't tell, haha.  They aren't too nice.

What I wore.

Work on Wednesday before the Christmas party:
Cardigan- Zellers
Tshirt- thrifted
Leggings- Walmart
Bracelets- Claires
Boots- Payless
Bag- Betsey Johnson

A day of baking.

Just in time for the holidays, my mum and I got together to do a bunch of baking.  We'll be eating lots of junk for the rest of the year so we prepared early.

Bonus picture of my little sister home sick from school.
My family's tree.  Boo to fake trees!
Their countdown, you can see with this how I've been slacking on posting on time...
